What is PoC Ground Tokyo?
The “PoC Ground Tokyo” program, organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, supports proof-of-concept (PoC) trials by startups that drive innovation and promote social change, helping them grow. An overview of the results presentation event by the 20 selected startups is available on the official PoC Ground Tokyo website.
SeiRogai was honored to be selected as one of just eight companies for the 2023 cohort, undertaking a two-year initiative as part of the program.
About the Demonstration Day
At the event, SeiRogai COO and Co-Founder, Rachel Leng, presented the achievements of the two-year project.
Overview of the Two-Year Project
In 2023, the first year of the project, SeiRogai developed the Tama City VR360 Virtual Tour, offering immersive experiences of Tama’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty, while building the foundational system. In 2024, SeiRogai focused on enhancing user experience by conducting a UI/UX test for the integrated VR tour and e-commerce features. This included hosting a press event where SeiRogai showcased the new virtual tour to the Mayor of Tama City. It was officially launched in December 2024.

2024 Proof-of-Concept Trial
- Theme: UI/UX Testing of a Tourism DX Platform Integrating E-Commerce (Patent Pending)
- Implementation:
・102 users with a high interest in travel to Japan participated in testing the VR tour and e-commerce features.
・Surveys and data analysis were conducted to evaluate usability, convenience, and purchasing behavior.

- API Integration (Existing Technology)
Seamless API connections between Global Virtual Travel and external e-commerce sites.
2.Embedded Links Within VR Experiences (New Technology / Patent Pending)
Direct links embedded inside VR content, allowing users to immediately access product or reservation pages during their virtual experience.
→ Users can purchase or book services directly while exploring the VR tour, creating a smoother customer journey.
Results of the Proof-of-Concept Trial
Data analysis and user feedback revealed several key benefits:

Participants reported a deeper understanding of local regions and a stronger desire to travel after the VR experience.
・Increased Engagement:
Storytelling and narration heightened immersion, encouraging action.
・Boosted Reservation Intent:
The ability to seamlessly transition from the VR experience to reservation pages lowered barriers to booking.
Future Outlook: Driving Tourism DX Globally
Building on feedback from this trial, SeiRogai aims to officially launch its upgraded platform by the end of 2025. SeiRogai‘s vision is to connect heightened interest generated through VR tours directly to virtual stores, offering local specialties and travel products to the global market.
