You can enjoy an immersive virtual tour experience with Global Virtual Travel , a unique digital tourism platform that utilizes the latest VR technology. This platform is being developed under the Cabinet Office’s Digital Garden City Nation Initiative Grant. It has been certified as a “digital implementation type” project and is contributing to improving regional brand recognition throughout Japan, increasing the number of visitors to Japan, and revitalizing the regional economy . In addition, by linking it with an EC platform, it is also possible to promote the sale of regional specialty products.
Implementation Results and Outcomes
Global Virtual Travel was also selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Tokyo Startup Social Implementation Promotion Project ( PoC Ground Tokyo )” and was highly evaluated as one of eight companies selected from a total of 59 applicants. To date, the company has created many successstories in Fuchu City, Minato Ku, Tama City, Tokyo, and Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture, and its efforts to utilize the tourism resources of each region have attracted attention.
