SeiRogai, Inc. to Exhibit at the 3rd Tama Mirai Industrial Fair!

SeiRogai, Inc. will exhibit at the 3rd Tama Mirai Industrial Fair, to be held on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31, 2026. At this exhibition, we will present our latest pilot project that integrates tourism DX with 360° VR, selected under Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Tama Innovation Ecosystem Promotion Program – Leading Project (FY2025, Theme: Tourism & Leisure).

Through a VR tour that allows visitors to experience a university campus and local tourism resources as one, attendees can discover a new model that simultaneously promotes international student recruitment, inbound tourism, and regional branding.

 Highlights of the SeiRogai Booth

Exhibition content: “Explore Tama’s Universities and Towns through 360° VR” (For details, please visit the official website.)

At the SeiRogai booth, we will showcase 360°VR content themed around a “University & Town VR Tour of the Tama Area.” Set at Chuo University Tama Campus in Hachioji City, international and Japanese students guide viewers through real campus life, while immersive 360° footage captures the area’s rich natural environment—including Mount Takao—and the unique charm of the town.

This university campus & regional tourism VR tour enables viewers overseas to realistically experience “what kind of university,” “what kind of town,” and “what kind of lifestyle” await them—all from anywhere in the world.

At the SeiRogai booth (LP Area), visitors can experience:

360° VR tours for tourism DX

・VR promotion models for universities and local governments

・A system that balances international student recruitment with inbound tourism

・Real-world examples of multilingual, overseas-oriented outreach

—all through hands-on VR demonstrations.

A New Model for Tourism Promotion and International Student Recruitment

This project addresses pressing social challenges such as declining birthrates affecting university enrollment and concerns over regional economic stagnation. By leveraging 360° VR video and multilingual communication, it aims to build a new model that unites international student recruitment and tourism promotion.

Targeting prospective students in Southeast Asia and other overseas regions—as well as their families—the project communicates, in an integrated way, both the appeal of studying in the Tama area and its value as a tourism destination.

From VR to Action: New Functions for Tourism DX

This pilot project introduces new features that allow users to access university websites and local information portals directly from within the VR tour.

The VR tours are published online via SeiRogai’s tourism DX platform, Global Virtual Travel. During the VR experience, viewers can click through to official university sites and regional or tourism-related websites with a single click.

This creates seamless pathways that enable prospective students and their families to take action the moment they feel “I want to study here” or “I want to visit”, thereby simultaneously promoting enrollment, visitation, and tourism-related spending in the Tama area.

Past Initiatives

■FY2024

Tama Innovation Ecosystem Promotion Program, the project was selected as a “Business Idea for Solving Issues in the Tama Area.” Through research and analysis, key challenges and needs in the Tama region were identified, confirming strong alignment between those needs and the value proposition of this service.

FY2025

A joint proposal by SeiRogai, Inc. and Keio Travel Agency Co., Ltd., titled “Verification of a ‘University & Town Campus Tour Experienced through 360° VR’ that Contributes to Increasing International Students and Promoting Tourism in the Tama Area,” was selected for the Leading Project (FY2025, Theme: Tourism & Leisure) of the Tama Innovation Ecosystem Promotion Program.

In collaboration with universities, local governments, and regional businesses, the project is being advanced in an integrated manner—from pilot testing and content production to overseas distribution.

■Behind the Scenes of Filming and Production

This VR content was completed through close collaboration with the Chuo University International Center and Keio Travel Agency Co., Ltd., with the cooperation of Hachioji City. Filming and production took place at Chuo University Tama Campus and various locations throughout Hachioji City, carefully coordinating and obtaining filming permissions at each site.

During filming, special attention was paid to the perspective of overseas viewers, confirming on-site flow and presentation. The content was designed to convey the authenticity of student campus life, as well as the distinctive natural landscapes and urban appeal unique to Hachioji City.
