On March 19th, 2023, SeiRogai, Inc. was invited as a Tokyo-based startup to participate in the “TAMA TECH – Tama Machizukai Technology Expo,” which was hosted by the City of Tama, Tokyo as part of the “Smart Service Implementation Promotion Project,” a Tokyo Metropolitan Government initiative that focuses on smart city development.
Tamatech was designed to showcase innovative technologies and smart services developed by startups to promote smart city development. SeiRogai exhibited a virtual tour experience booth, which was the first opportunity for visitors to experience SeiRogai’s pioneering virtual tour productions.
More than 150 customers visited SeiRogai’s booth, and at times the waiting time exceeded 40 minutes due to its immense popularity.
SeiRogai’s booth offering visitors to Tamatech a unique virtual tour experience was hugely popular. The virtual tour program allowed people to travel to hidden gems of Japan without physically being there. During the event, SeiRogai showcased two tours: the “Zojoji VR 360-degree Virtual Tour,” which features sacred non-public areas and special rituals of the Zojoji Temple in Minato City, and the “Okunitama Jinja VR 360-degree Virtual Tour,” which gives audiences an exclusive tour of the treasures preserved at the ancient Okunitama Jinja shinto shrine with almost 2,000 years of history in Fuchu City.
The innovative technology of SeiRogai’s virtual tours received high praise for its integration of tourism and culture with storytelling. Families with children were among the most enthusiastic visitors, and many of them left positive feedback about learning something new, and considering visiting the featured location in real-life when they next have the opportunity. Visitors were also impressed with the English-language content, and some even felt motivated to study the language further.
The event was an opportunity for various startups and companies to display their latest smart city technologies and services. SeiRogai’s virtual tour program attracted many visitors’ attention and interest, including representatives from Tama City and companies with an interest in smart city technologies.
Overall, SeiRogai’s virtual tours successfully promoted the region’s attractions and contributed to tourism and cultural promotion. In the future, SeiRogai plans to continue to use virtual tours to promote regional attractions and contribute to tourism and culture. They aim to participate in more domestic and international events and build new partnerships to expand their reach. The success of SeiRogai’s virtual tours at the Tamatech expo event has given them a great opportunity to further collaborate with smart city promotion initiatives.
