Project Title: “VR virtual tours to showcase the appeal of Fuchu City that have not yet been discovered! (Company Name: SeiRogai, Inc.)”

Social Issues in the Local Community Exacerbated by the Coronavirus Pandemic
The decrease in the number of tourists and visitors to Fuchu City has had a negative impact on the city’s economy, particularly the tourism industry. In addition, the city has been promoting inbound tourism measures for some time, but with restrictions on tourism due to the impact of the pandemic, the city feels the need to expand PR media using virtual technology.

Solution Overview
Virtual Tours utilizing 360-degree video for VR will be planned for inbound visitors to promote the attractions of Fuchu City. Besides introducing the present-day Fuchu City using the latest VR technologies, the virtual tour will also integrate storytelling with education to include historical background and interactive learning elements to create and film stories that will highlight the attractions of Fuchu City. It will also partner with and feature local businesses to support the revitalization of the city’s local economy.

About SeiRogai’s “Virtual Tour 360 Total Service” and Collaborative Project with Fuchu City

For this production, we will collaborate with Fuchu City’s tourism department to create content that can effectively share Fuchu’s tourist attractions, local community, culture, and history to the world through storytelling, education, innovation, interactive learning, and more.

By leveraging our expertise in media production and business consulting, we aim to create a new approach to VR360o virtual tour content that emphasizes both “Education” and “Entertainment”. In contrast to the typical VR360 virtual tours currently in the market, we aim to create and produce original content that will have a storyline with educational value, and will be able to communicate the appeal of Japanese culture, history, and local communities internationally.

We will also develop and build a new interactive function and digital platform for VR360 virtual tour contents utilizing the latest Information and Communication Technology (ICT). We plan to develop and provide a new interactive platform for VR 360o virtual tours that will enable information dissemination and PR to attract new audiences and future customers in a post-Covid environment, while promoting digital transformation in the tourism industry in partnership with local governments, local businesses, and agricultural producers in Japan.
